Summary:
Bilbo and Dwalin have two things in common: an appreciation for good meals and a case of unrequited love for a certain oblivious king. The only sensible thing to do is form a supper club.
One, I have a permanent soft spot for this ship, for all sorts of reasons, height/culture differences and excellent character chemistry not the least among them - and this fic ticks all those little boxes like a charm.
Two, the story structure is brilliant; very hobbity, and let’s be honest, appetising.
Three, pining and UST are always my favourite elements, and it’s so much better when it’s two people thirsting jointly after a third. (And falling for each other in the process.)
If you’re still not convinced, let me tell you this fic is a classic for a reason - for one, it’s literally fit to eat :p
