Death puts an end to many things. Fili can no longer look forward to becoming king, getting married, having children, or proving himself worthy of his line—but he can still fall in love.

NB: the following can constitute either a warning or a recommendation: I basically wept my way through this one.

Because while there's an engaging romance plot (and pining, so much pining), wonderful OCs and an well-construed world, this is also a canon-compliant and heavily Sansûkh-influenced story, which makes it HURT, but hurt so damn good.

But if you're like me and sometimes like angst for breakfast (because there's only so much fluff a person can stomach at times), then this might be a story for you.
