Let me just say I'm so happy that my prompt inspired this gem.
... and now I don't know how to sing its praises without spoiling the whole thing for you. Well, first off, it goes places I never thought my prompt would go, and offers great depth of relatable emotion from a simple premise. Writing-wise, it's very well-thought-out piece with beautiful flowing prose.
