The thing the fandom was desperately lacking, a.k.a. the one one where Legolas is buff and BAMF, and Gimli - through some rather unfortunate circumstances - ends up playing the damsel in distress time and again.

The perils illustrated in each chapter are delightfully inventive, underlining for instance the fact that some of the most dangerous things are not those that will strike a wound, and you should not measure your foe by their size.

Lush with immersive scenery description, fueled by top-notch character interaction, this story is by turns heart-wrenching and cracky, sweet with budding love and sizzling with desperate tension, culminating into a nail-biting, jaw-dropping climax which I am not cruel enough to spoil for you.

Perfect for either devouring on one go, or savouring a chapter at a time. (But no beverages with chapter 5. You can’t say I didn’t warn you.)
