Drawn as a part of the WIP-Round-Up at the Acorn and Oak Leaves server, inspired by the wonderful and original Bagginshield story Reforged by RevenantRaven. It's beautifully written, go read it and give it love! This image shows Bilbo reforged as half hobbit, half dwarrow and is directly inspired by the following passage:

They stepped onto the dock, covered by a grand canopy and kept going until they reached a specific boat. Yavanna laid him down upon the bed, plucking a golden flower from her crown and tucking it behind his ear. “I have many wishes for you, little one, but first and foremost, I wish you to live a life of love.” She whispered before backing up and looking to her husband.

A new, very busy corporate job is the perfect excuse for Bilbo to avoid his irritating family members in the gap between Christmas and New Year, plus the office is practically empty, aside from the boss, Thorin Durinson, who is thoroughly snowed in by the amount of paperwork he has to get done by January. Bilbo hasn't ever spoken to the man in any extended amount, so surely it will be a quiet week of existing alongside each other...

It is the first day of snow, and Frodo eagerly wants to experience what it feels like to be truly snowed in. Although the weather is not severe enough to trap them indoors, the others indulge Frodo’s excitement by letting him pretend they are stuck inside. Together, they spend the day doing cozy, snow-day activities, slowing down, staying warm, and savoring the quiet novelty of winter, so Frodo can fully enjoy the feeling of being snowed in despite the mild conditions.
