Just a short one this week.

In spite some minor glitches, this story never fails to make me smile. Part of the reason is that I'm very, very fond of BB-8, but even bigger part is the way the author has managed capture the little orange ball's character, and how succinctly and wittily this somewhat unconventional outsider's POV translates the events of the flesh-and-blood world into droidspeak. (BB-8's designations for people are nothing short of brilliant, for instance.)

And also it’s a fond memory from the time TFA was just out and I was all hyped up about finally having some new Star Wars content I liked enough to be all excited about. (Yes, I know the movie is made-to-measure fan service -- I’m a fangirl and I love it.).

Read this for warm and fuzzy nostalgia, if nothing else.
