First of all, cultural differences are my jam, and I love seeing all the different ways people make use of them in fic. And what could be better than focusing on something that's seen as a culturally essential component of romance - and then revealing that it's essential to only one half of the couple? Well, what's better, from my biased point of view, is exactly that story, but with lots of tender, lovingly-detailed kissing.

And that's it; that's the fic. I kid you not. But don't you dare go thinking it's "only", or "merely" kissing. It's art. Beautifully written, achingly romantic, and just the right length to devour whole (and then read all over again).
