Re: the Gimli/Legolas WIPs I mentioned the other day

So I was writing this thing that was supposed to be short and smutty with all the feels... and had a sudden lightbulb moment and before I knew it, the damn thing had started spawning chapters.

I have rough outlines to at least five already *facepalm*

(And this is a new tack to tackle the unfinished WIP anxiety: if I chronicle my progress, maybe there will be some progress? Worth trying, no?)

It totally is, with one caveat: do not swap anxiety for guilt!

Basically, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE was what I did at 45 minutes past midnight (or thereabouts) when the idea hit me. I have a very good feeling about it *insert bouncy emoji*

(But I'll be tearing out my hair before I hit ch. 3, mark my words.)

The lightbulb moment is a wonderful and terrible thing; if it leads you into inspiration, I say run with it as far as it leads and don't feel guilty when it evaporates! Just enjoy the ride while your ticket lasts. ^_^
